Description	Hello there, I’m Shamayun Miah and sharing my great experiences of fundraising which we’ve done for the children of Yemen. On a cold, dark and wet December day in 2020 we, a group of amateur newbie cycling enthusiasts, successfully completed the 102 kilometre bike ride from London to Brighton. We started in high spirits from Camden town and tackled all the many testing climbs with irreconcilable gusto and dread. I’d heard it would take a new rider anything between six and ten hours to complete. Well, we did it, the ride was conquered perfectly within 9:43 minutes. Perseverance pays. Mind over matter is my life’s motto. So even though the training beforehand was a little sketchy I always knew I’d see it to the end. We surpassed our fundraising target for the children of Yemen, raising a total of £7,500. Thank you to all for your very generous donations.
