Description	I grew up and live in a small town in upstate New York, near Lake Ontario, in the “snow belt” region, where it snows in feet rather than inches. I met and married my high school sweetheart 48 years ago. We have a wonderful son and daughter-in-law and three beautiful and brilliant grandchildren. I am a Registered Nurse, and worked almost 40 years in a community hospital. I retired seven years ago and find myself very busy most of the time. I am a Literacy Volunteer and tutor in reading. I am on the Board of the local Public Library and I coordinate a fundraiser for the library called the Mexico Public Library 5K Cider Run. For three years of my retirement I delivered part time for The Bake Shop Eatery during the lunch hour. I delivered pizza, sandwiches and soup, and the occasional cake or cookies to local businesses. I saw many old friends and made some new ones, and made a little extra money. I have worked summer camp on a farm as the Health Director for children and adults with special intellectual needs. I love to read, generally mystery and crime fiction but occasionally history. My favorite authors are James Patterson, David Baldacci, Dean Koontz, Dr.Seuss and more. I enjoy performing spontaneous random acts of kindness. I tend to look at the glass as half full and I try to maintain a positive attitude in everything I do. The purpose of my website is to provide a few minutes of relief from the daily routine for people who might appreciate a little humor, some stories from my America, to learn something new, or as a quick way to escape from their life.
