Description Departing from the monarchical tradition of England, the founding fathers of us created a system during which the American people had the facility and responsibility to pick their leader. Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution establishes the chief Branch of the U.S. government. Under this new order, Washington, the primary U.S. president, was elected in 1789. At the time, only white men who owned property could vote, but the 15th, 19th, and 26th Amendments to the Constitution have since expanded the proper of suffrage to all or any citizens over 18. Elections are held every four years to determine who will lead the country for the remaining four years. The stories behind each election—some ending in landslide victories, others decided by the narrowest of margins—provide a roadmap to the events of U.S. history. We will discussed the recent status of the US election 2020.
