| Description | Jaipur is the Capital city of Rajasthan named after the Kachhwaha ruler Maharaja Jai Singh II. Maharaja Jai Singh II took the architectural guidance of Vidyadhar Bhattacharya and planned the city on the principles of Vastu Shastra and Shilpa Shastra. The City was founded in 1727 AD which was divided into nine blocks, Out of Nine blocks Seven were allocated to the Public and two were having Palaces & State Buildings. It is rich in culture and Heritage. The City was painted in Pink Color to welcome the Prince of Wales, later Edward VII in 1876 AD. Jaipur is also called Pink City. |
