Day Trip to Hluboka Castle If you’re looking for a day trip that’s close to Prague, Hluboka Castle is a perfect choice. The castle is set in a picturesque forested valley and dates back to the 13th century when it was built as an ecclesiastical castle. Today it houses various exhibitions including one on Czech history and another on medieval weapons. If you’re interested in architecture or history then this place will be right up your alley! You can get there by taking public transportation from Prague’s Main Train Station (Hlavni Nadrazi) which takes about 50 minutes or even quicker if you catch a taxi cab which will cost around 400 CZK ($20 USD). The cost of admission is 180 CZK ($8 USD). The opening hours are from 10 am-6 pm every day except Mondays when they close at 3 pm due to staff training sessions held there throughout the week; however, if they aren’t closed completely then they may open later than usual so check beforehand if possible before planning your trip!
